Occasionally the club will have openings for new members. If you're an amateur artist who wants to join like minded people, participate in exhibitions and club evenings please contact us.
There may be a place available immediately but failing that the club operates a waiting list and is always happy for potential new members to call in and say hello on a club evening. Age is no barrier at Carrickfergus Art Club, members age 18 and above come together, some are at art college, while others are in their retirement with many in between.

Carrickfergus Art Club was formed in 1976 for amateur artists. We meet most Tuesdays in the art rooms of Carrickfergus Academy (previously Downshire School) from 7 pm – 9 pm during term time, September to June.
We do not teach art at our meetings, so prospective members are expected to have some knowledge of painting, either through attending art classes or being self-taught. Meetings consist of demonstrations, talks and workshop nights. Exhibitions of members work are held twice a year.
